BOSCH E-BIKE SYSTEMS
Bosch-eqipped e-bikes, with Bosch being considered the market leader in e-bike motor systems by most, come with a few different motor options. The baseline is the Bosch Active Line, followed by the Active Line Plus. Then we move to the Cargo line and various versions of the Performance Line, including CX, SX and CX Race Edition variants. These motors go from 40Nm of torque in the Active Line, 55Nm of torque with the very powerful SX Line (which has a peak output of up to 600 watts), and 85Nm of torque with the Cargo Line, Performance Line CX and Performance Line CX Race Edition.
BOSCH E-BIKE FLOW APP
The e-Bike Flow app turns the e-Bike tour into an individual experience! You can customize your e-bike assist modes and the e-Bike Flow app also acts as a digital key and lets you deactivate motor support for additional theft protection.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY BIKE CAN CONNECT TO THE E-BIKE FLOW APP?
The Bosch e-Bike Flow App only works with the BOSCH SMART SYSTEM. If you are not sure whether your bike is equipped with the Bosch Smart System and whether the Bosch e-bIke Flow App works with your e-bike, watch for the "Smart System" logo or give us a call and we can help find out which system you are on. Most 2023 models and almost all 2024 models are equipped with the Smart System.

SMART SYSTEM
WHAT IS THE WALK-ASSIST?
The walk assistance can make it easier for you to push your e-bike up a steep incline (driveway) or up the hill with a heavy load (groceries, camping gear, etc).
HOW DO I TURN ON THE WALK-ASSIST?
With the BOSCH SMART SYSTEM, hold down the DOWN button on the LED remote until the display indicates walk mode, then move the bike forwards, backwards, or sideways to start the motor. The motor will stop when you remove your finger from the DOWN button.

HOW DO I TURN ON THE WALK-ASSIST?
With the BOSCH E-BIKE SYSTEM 2, the walk assist button of the PURION can be found on the bottom of the control. On the control of the Intuvia (not the display), the walk assist button can be found on the top of the control. To start, select any assist level then press the button "WALK" on your controller. Within 3 seconds of activation press the "+" button and keep it pressed. The bike will start moving. Once you let go of the "+" button, the assist will stop. Note: walk assist can not be activated if you haven't chosen an assist level first (it does not matter which level of assist, the speed is the same).
TQ E-BIKE SYSTEM
The heart of TQ-Group’s e-bike transmission is the HPR50— short for harmonic pin ring transmission with 50Nm of torque. Compared to classic toothed gears and belt drives, a harmonic pin ring transmission is more compact, more powerful, feels smoother, and is more durable.
Mounted flush into the toptube, a two-inch display keeps your setup discrete from a side-view, while providing crisp and bright details from the bird’s eye. The bright contrast stays visible in blinding sunlight and offers just enough information to be useful without overwhelming you at a glance.
The TQ E-Bike App lets riders connect, customize and control their TQ-powered e-bike without any additional nicknack.
On your ride, the most important information is displayed as simply as possible, so you can fully concentrate on your ride while enjoying the moment.
If you have a TREK e-bike equipped with the TQ System, the TREK Central App lets riders connect, customize and control their TQ-powered e-bike without any additional nicknack.

WHAT IS THE WALK-ASSIST AND DOES TQ HAVE IT?
The walk assistance can make it easier for you to push your e-bike up a steep incline or up the hill with a heavy load. ANd yes, TQ-Systems have the walk-assist.
HOW DO I TURN ON THE WALK-ASSIST?
When the e-bike is at stand-still, press the UP button for longer than 0.5sec to activate the walk assist. Press the UP button again and keep it pressed to move the e-bike with the walk assist.

WHAT IS THE WALK-ASSIST? HOW DO I TURN ON THE WALK-ASSIST?

With the HYENA E-BIKE SYSTEM hold the DOWN button on the controller for two seconds to activate walk mode. Once activated, hold the UP button while pushing the bike to use walk mode. When finished, hold the DOWN button for about half a second to turn off walk mode.

TRAIL BICYCLES E-BIKE SERVICE
Our mechanics are trained and equipped to service e-bike systems from Bosch, Shimano, TQ, Fazua, Mahle and Hyena/Hydrive.
Q: Do you work on all e-bikes?
A: We service the mechanical parts of most e-bikes and the electrical systems of select brands such as Trek, Electra, Norco, Pivot, Ibis, and Mondraker.

Q: Can you service the motor/battery system on my e-bike?
A: Only if it is made by Bosch, Shimano, TQ, Fazua, Mahle or Hydrive.

Q: Do I need to take my battery home while you’re servicing my bike?
A: Not if it uses one of the above systems. Maybe if it is equipped with another system. Please ask for details.

Q: What do I do if my battery is not removable?
A: If your bike uses a system we are not comfortable storing and your battery is not removable you will need to drop off your bike and pick it up on the same day. We will not keep it in the shop overnight.
Q: What if I don’t make it to pick up my bike by the end of the day?
A: We will lock your bike up outside the shop overnight. This is due to fire risk and insurance restrictions.

Q: I ordered an e-bike online from another vendor and it needs to be assembled. Can you build the bike for me?
A: We can build the bike for you, no problem. The bike cannot be shipped directly to us, however.

Q: Can the bike be shipped directly to your shop?
A: No, the bike cannot be shipped directly to us. We will not accept it and it might be sent back.

Q: Do you work on electric scooters, skateboards or similar e-assist devices?
A: No we don't.
